How does Engram work?

Sources become connected knowledge; a domain workflow uses that knowledge to evaluate options.

The reason

Finding a document is only the start of a decision.

Useful knowledge includes where a fact came from, when it was true and what it relates to. A search result alone does not preserve that context.

Engram combines retrieval with relationships and temporal records. Domain workflows can use that knowledge to prepare proposals for human review. The general Decision Engine is still in development.

Connect relevant sources

Begin with documents, conversations and system feeds that matter to the chosen question. Identify the existing interfaces, access requirements and any integration work still needed.

The knowledge layer connects searchable material with extracted facts, relationships and source provenance. A vector match can help locate relevant material, but does not by itself establish which statement is current.

Investigate the impact

In the supply-chain demo, an external logistics signal is related to routes, materials, stock and customer exposure. Specialist findings feed a shared council conclusion.

The demo supports external-feed connectors and example data. Live-feed availability depends on configuration, and simulated fallbacks are supported. The example demonstrates a bounded application.

Review the proposal

Compare proposed actions, incremental costs, avoided penalties and conditions. Keep the supporting evidence visible so the reviewer can challenge the recommendation.

An automated follow-up action needs a separately configured workflow with explicit responsibilities. The illustrated process prepares a decision for human review.
